Welcome to Bucket List Travel, your local travel brokers in Whangaparaoa. I’m Michelle and I believe that we spend too long dreaming about holidays that go onto our bucket list.

Travel is my passion and whether you are 8 or 80, everyone has places in the world they want to travel to.

I have a bucket list, as most people do, and yes, life is short and the world is large, so we should make the time to tick these places off our list.

I love my job; I liken it to working in a candy store. Every day I get excited about where people want to go, and I love creating that dream for them so that it can become a reality.

Whether it is a flight to Sydney, flop and drop at a tropical island or a round-the-world holiday, I can arrange them all. At Bucket List Travel I strive to make those holiday dreams a reality!  I also handle any corporate travel and group travel!

Life in the travel industry started after university, followed by the traditional OE, where I was lucky enough to live in Canada, the United Kingdom and travel extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East. 

Since finding a husband and having four children, the Pacific Islands and cruising have been a favourite for our family. 

Creating memories and sharing experiences with friends and family and new friends is one thing you will always keep. 

So get your bucket list ready for ticking and remember: Life is like a box of chocolates – and you should taste them in every country.

Hi, I am Wayne, and I’ve been in the Travel Industry since the early 1980s

I started travelling while still at school with my first trip to Fiji in 1974 in the school orchestra. This cemented my love for travel and I’ve been travelling ever since.   

My career to date has led me to nearly every part of the tourism industry having worked in Retail and Corporate Travel, Wholesale Travel in product procurement.  I’ve also worked for Air New Zealand managing one of the many travel centres located around the country and then onto product marketing in the Head Office.

After several years working for Tourism Fiji in NZ, I  moved to a global sales and marketing role with a large Fijian tourism business. 

This varied career has allowed me to travel extensively around the globe several times.

I’m Sharon and my travel career started when we took a family holiday in a motorhome at 15 years old… Australia was amazing and I was hooked.

Since then, I have travelled extensively through NZ & Australia, and USA, UK & Europe during my working OE years. I landed in beautiful Cape Town in my mid-20s, where I raised my family and explored Southern Africa in depth.

As a wholesale and retail travel consultant, I have specialised in holidays with complicated itineraries, escorted tours and incentive trips, and sporting packages. Recently back in NZ, I taught tourism at university level, encouraging our next generation of globetrotting travel professionals to seek out the world and create new adventures.

Personally I love alternative travel holidays like camping safaris in the bush, canoeing and river rafting adventures, slow e-bike trips, and exploring villages off-the-beaten-track. I’m currently organising a trip to the Serengeti in Tanzania, where I plan to camp under the stars and listen to the roar of the lions into the night…ahhh!
