Indulgent South Pacific Itinerary Map
Day 1: Auckland, NZ to Papeete, Tahiti

Depart Auckland 6th March flying Economy Class to Papeete on Air Tahiti Nui. (Arrive 5th March local time)
Transfer to Hotel Le Tahiti for 2-Night stay.

Day 2: March 6 - Tahiti Island

Following Breakfast enjoy a full day guided tour of Tahiti Island by private bus.

The tour begins with a visit to the MUSEUM OF TAHITI. Opened in 1974, it proposes a new exhibition and a beautiful garden, in front of Moorea island. Continue your drive to the MARAE ARAHURAHU, a restored religious site, dedicated to the ancient gods and where important ceremonies used to take place. Next stop is VAIPAHI GARDENS, just before lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit the 3 WATERFALLS site where you’ll be surrounded by lush vegetation. Continue on to see the BLOW HOLE, a natural marine geyser. And finally go to POINTE VENUS, situated in the North, on the edge of Matavai Bay, famous for having been the special scene of successive landings of European navigators. James Cook gave the name Venus in memory of his scientific trip to observe the planet.

 

Day 3: March 7 - Cruise Embarkation

Following breakfast, transfer to the port for cruise embarkation.

Settle in for your 18-Day cruise.

Day 4: March 8 - Huahine, French Polynesia

“The Garden Island” is filled with easily accessible pristine white beaches kissed by emerald waters; you can rent a bicycle and explore the island, take a boat to the hanging oyster beds to see the black pearl farm, or go on a shark-feeding excursion.

Day 5: March 9 - Bora Bora, French Polynesia

The dramatic Mount Otemanu stands watch over the sparkling turquoise waters and sugary sands of Bora Bora, known as the most romantic island in the world. Snorkel, swim with the manta rays or enjoy an outrigger canoe ride through the lagoon and its lovely coral islands.

Day 6-7: March 10-11 - Cruising the South Pacific

As you cruise the South Pacific towards American Samoa, take advantage of the on-board ammenities.
Immerse yourself in a world of entertainment and relaxation. Enjoy world-class musical performances, and high-energy production shows. Delight in spirited deck games and wine tastings, or try your luck at the casino. Participate in talks by passionate guest speakers, chef-led demonstrations, and animated trivia sessions.

Day 8: March 12 - Pago Pago, American Samoa

Remote, verdant and stunningly beautiful, this island is pure and pristine. Visit one of the many tuna canneries or snorkel in the crystalline waters of one of the protected lagoons. Find a fale, a gazebo where locals perform for visitors.

Day 9: March 13 - Cross the International Date Line

As you cross the international date line on your journey to Samoa, take advantage of the on-board ammenities.

Day 10: March 14 - Apia, Samoa

Apia is located on the northern shore of Upolu, Samoa’s second largest island and home to spectacular rainforests, waterfalls, sand dunes, beaches and brilliant sunrises and sunsets.

Writer Robert Louis Stevenson spent the last four years of his life here and is buried on Mount Vaea, overlooking the village of Vailima and the home he built there, which is now a museum in his honor.

Day 11: March 15 - Cruising the South Pacific

As you travel to Fiji, enjoy the onboard ammenities.

Day 12: March 16 - Suva, Fiji

Enjoy the tropical rainforest climate of Fiji’s capital city, the largest in the South Pacific. Wander the Victoria Parade, the main thoroughfare with shops and restaurants.

Day 13: March 17 - Lautoka, Fiji

Nicknamed “Sugar City,” it’s in the heart of the soft coral capital of the world. Snorkel, scuba, take a boat to a nearby deserted island; visit lush rainforests, local potters and orchid farms.

Day 14: March 18 - Cruising the South Pacific

As you cruise the South Pacific towards Vanuatu enjoy the onboard ammenities.

Day 15: March 19 - Port Vila, Vanuatu

Wander through this capital city’s joyous streets; take free ferries to small offshore islands, visit the Vanuatu Cultural Center in town, or snorkel, horseback ride or hike up to the beautiful Cascade Waterfalls.

Day 16: March 20 - Lifou Island, New Caledonia

Explore the northern coast of this paradise for intoxicating cliffs and limestone caves, and the southern side for turquoise water and white sand beaches. Snorkel the calm, clear waters of Baie de Jenik, where coral reefs are close enough to swim without flippers. Jokin Cliffs boast amazing caves with stalagmites and stalactites. Paths to churches, lookouts and beaches are breathtaking and great places to take photos.

Day 17: March 21 - Noumea, New Caledonia

Known as “The Paris of the Pacific,” the capital city of New Caledonia still maintains a village atmosphere. Visit the new Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center, try wind-surfing, or share a bottle of vin rouge while relaxing at La Place des Cocotiers.

Day 18-19: March 22-23 - Cruising the South Pacific

Enjoy the onboard ammenities as you cruise the South Pacific on your way to Whangarei, New Zealand.

Day 20: March 24 - Whangarei, New Zealand

Tantalizingly close to New Zealand’s northernmost point, an exquisite landscape revered by the Maori people, subtropical Whangarei beckons with its countless natural attractions, including the breathtaking Whangarei Falls. 

In the Abbey Caves, feel childlike wonder while exploring passages draped with otherworldly bioluminescent glow worms, and as a quirky diversion, examine over 1,600 historic timepieces at Claphams National Clock Museum. Gaze at the yachts docked next to the splendid Town Basin Marina Village, where you might pick up a memento of this enchanting port of call.

Day 21: March 25 - Auckland, New Zealand

Enjoy this beautiful city, its enormous parks and spectacular views from Mount Eden. Learn about Maori culture; visit the famed Waitomo Glowworm Caves and their fantastic formations. Or head for the coast and the crashing surf, see a gannet colony and admire the sheep farms along the way. Visit an area vineyard or one of sixty volcanoes.

Day 22: March 26 - Disembark

Disembark from the cruise and head for home, you have reached the end of your 21-Night adventure.
